[closed] ios app: Won't upload image on iPhone 5

On my iPhone 5 I try and upload a picture I just recently took via the phone camera and I get a system message that says 'This is not a valid image file'

 

I have iOS 7

What size are you trying to upload?

A new build is making its way through apples review process now and it certainly attaches pictures on an iPhone 4.

Won't do it on all three options small, medium and best. I guess when the updated versions out probably resolve it. Edited October 13, 2013 by north-ict

Just to update you, Apple just approved the latest build so it should be hitting your phone in the next hour or 2.

Please let me know if that fixes the issue or not.

Checked the App Store saw the update tried and it stilled said the same thing. I went into privacy settings disabled access to edugeek accessing photo album restarted the app and obviously denied access. Then reapplied it restated the app and still the same error as before. 😞

 

If anyone has a iPhone 5 and on iOS 7 could you please check if you can add a photo to rule out it if it's an isolated issue or not.

Right, just to eliminate an old ios problem where it wouldnt update/exit properly can you please remove the app, reboot then reinstall and see if it makes any difference.

I had thought that apple had mostly fixed app upgrade/permission issues but who knows.

Yeah pictures are shown. I have seen this happen before with apps with no obvious fix, it was a real issue back in iPhone 3 but it does occur less and less now.

Weird things can happen when installing app updates normally but thats more rare. Upgrading iOS though has far more weird app issues after the change and I think thats whats happened to you.

Also people may think iOS doesnt need to be rebooted but it really REALLY does at least once a week or after a big batch of updates to minimise issues.

I sometimes have to multi task to exit / close the app and re launch and its fine or as suggested already to reboot the phone / ios
