Software to control multiple machines

Hi there everyone

 

I often find myself having to install software onto our Windows 7 machines manually.....one at a time and do exactly the same thing. It's often when there's only an .exe and no msi of the software and I'm in a rush. It's so laborious.

 

Can anyone recommend some software - ( free if possible ) that will mirror my mouse clicks /keyboard stuff live to a whole bunch of pcs....

I have searched for many things over the years. I don't really want to use a Macro Recorder......

 

Anyway if anyone can chime in and suggest something I would be most grateful.

It's not free and is overkill for just this (unless you'd have use for the other features too), but I've always used Impero for occasions like this - it's Mimic script thingy is awesome.

 

I don't know of any free or perhaps more suitable ones, I'm afraid, but figured I'd mention it anyway on the offchance it's of some help.

A lot of exes are nsis/installshield/other.

Learn the switches, have a script template deploy through gpo.

Or use pdq deploy or psexec.

BCX Management Tools with PRISM we have been using this for a few years and is excellent but does a lot more than just software installation same as Impero so not sure if it is overkill for what you want Burconix - Professional ICT Solutions for Education and SME but take a look and are a really good company to deal with.

I use Impero.

 

While it may seem expensive (it really isn't) after you add all the benefits up. I would professionally recommend impero to any school, i think its awesome!

SCCM will allow you to install .exe over a network no issues. Its pretty cheap for schools as well.

Impero mimic can handle this, although it is not mirroring _ just a bunch of keyboard commands at specific timings.
