Hi

We have exchange server 2003 set up and at the moment when the user opens a new email message in outlook and presses the 'To..' button on the 'Show Names From The' drop down box it dosent list their own personal contact lists just 6 lists that i have created in exchange management.

If the user opens the contacts in outlook then right clicks it and selects send new mail message it worksfine however this does not work with groups!?!?

Is there a way to enable the user s to see their own personal contacts when they click the 'To..' button.

I had this issue with a user just the other day. Take a look at this. (It is for office 2007, but is the same in 2003).

Look at the bit at the bottom of the page Reset Outlook Address Book settings. It gives instructions for what to do if the box is greyed out.

We have this same issue. I think it may be due to the fact I put the server settings in the msi.

I think that without these settings outlook creates and links your personal one correctly as you have no server (until you have entered your details) and it thinks you have a standalone outlook.

We have the grey'ed box (outlook xp though) and the part Iain said about fixed the issue for us too but I want to know why really.
