andrewpn Posted October 1, 2013 Posted October 1, 2013 Does anyone know when the next SIMS Installable release is due out?
vikpaw Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Installables are usually the Spring release. In between you would have to take last spring and then run the interim update ISOs to bring the DB up to date.
Greg Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 We've been told by November, it's very late this year.
vikpaw Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 We've been told by November, it's very late this year. That's the installable or the Autumn update?
Greg Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 That's the installable ISO that was expected in Spring 2013, it's been delayed several times... 1
Rawns Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 (edited) That's the installable or the Autumn update? The installable. Capita response on SupportNet: Regarding your query logged, I have had an update from the BA. The next SIMS installable release is currently planned for release at the end of November. It will include SQL2012 express as the SQL Server edition to install. Edited October 2, 2013 by Rawns 1
vikpaw Posted October 2, 2013 Posted October 2, 2013 Got it. My bad, didn't realise there was a delay.
wingmanatl Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 The last available SIMS install was Spring 2012. I'm unable to use this install as I have just built a new 2012R2 w/ SQL 2012SP1 When trying to use the 2012 installable, it wants to create and build a 2008r2 DB. This is going over so well with our development team. Should we continue with this install and then complete the SQL Migration Tool?
matt40k Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Don't tick install SQL server, install the SQL tools to the SQL binn (simssqlapplicationsetup.exe \ s3), the restore the database. 1
