Vacancy within Oasis:

 

ICT 2nd Line Support Technician – London

£25,067 - £28,224 (SCP 25-29 Inner London)

 

Oasis currently has a vacancy for a 2nd Line Support Technician to fill a full-time position within the ICT Team of Oasis, conveniently based at our Waterloo Hub in Central London.

 

The team’s function is to provide proactive support for staff, pupil and external customers on all aspects of IT infrastructure, including networking, server, desktop & laptop hardware and software. The 2nd line Support Technician provides 2nd Line hardware and software support on calls that have been escalated from other lines of service as well as supporting and configuring key line of business applications including service desk software, financial software, VLE and internet filtering applications.

 

The post holder will have a strong IT technical background, possess knowledge of, or experience using a service software package or working to an SLA and have an enthusiastic approach to customer service. Sound problem analysis and problem solving skills are also essential. Experience of working in an Education environment is desirable, but not essential.

Hi Nixon77, The focus of the role is primarily Windows server 2008R2 administration as well as managing associated hardware and software technologies such as SQL server, Cisco, HP SANs, etc. Thanks!
