LDAP & SchoolGuardian

Well after doing some emergancy work on our DNS, read delete and start again, all is well with our DC so much so i've now got a SDC running at last.

 

I was hoping it would solve a problem i've been getting since we installed our SchoolGuardian which i've always put down to our fault DNS, although it still could be.

 

I'm trying to get it to copy groups and users but when i run the Diagnostics under the auth page i get

 

Authentication service running RUNNING

Primary LDAP server resolves Open

Secondary LDAP server resolves N/A

Primary LDAP server connection Open

Secondary LDAP server connection N/A

Authentication service local connection CLOSED

Authentication service LDAP server connection N/A

 

Now as i say i'd always put this down to our dodgy DNS but it appears it might be something else. Any ideas before i contact Smoothwall for support?

I'd suggest you give the support lads a ring. Probably something simple...

Did do very helpful and didn't laugh at me stupidity in the setup Well not to me anyway lol
