lorddc89 Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 We have 30 or so PCs in the music department with Cubase elements 6 installed, works fine for admins when we tested it, now when a student logs in the licence goes walk-about, we then have to log in as an admin and run e-licenser to get it working again but this is only a temp fix and happens again a day later, anyone had this issue or a fix for this issue?
synaesthesia Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 As someone tackling cubase often, my professional advice is to get a refund and buy a product suitable for 1. education and 2. networks. Cubase is neither. Sorry it's not an immediate fix. 1

lorddc89 Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 unforunatly, the music head wants cubase so probably wont let us change the software, so we need to find a fix to this, what a frustrating piece of software
synaesthesia Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 One of many reasons all software requirements should be fired through the IT team first, and your music department need to understand that if they wish to do what's best for the kids. I'd usually be quite happy in reminding them there's plenty of alternatives, and you will *never ever ever* see Cubase used by anyone in industry. Best of luck in finding a solution!

Gibson335 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Have had Cubase running on 20 machines with no issue since September...getting it installed properly, however, now that was a mare. A cursory attempt at providing a network build by them, but absolute pants in reality. Would never want to do it again.
lorddc89 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Did you get any where with Cubase support/ i got a repsosne from cubase, after having to manually reinstall on all pcs that were required to tick the "for all users" box hidden inside the Customise install area, we also had to put in full access to C:\ProgramData, all issues were solved until recently, which was due to E-licenser to be upgraded, but this solves that issue 1
