rbd12345 Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I am trying to install OpenOffice on all my client computers through GPO but I cant find a MSI Installer version of OpenOffice to do this. Can anyone help me, please?
MatthewL Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 I've just had a look at my OpenOffice folder, when you extract is there is a msi in there, it will normally dump these in a folder before it runs it unless they have changed the initial installed from when I last did it.
Arthur Posted September 12, 2013 Posted September 12, 2013 Don't bother installing OpenOffice. Get LibreOffice instead. www.libreoffice.org/download 1
rbd12345 Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 I'm afraid this doesn't work. But its ok because I've decided to use LibreOffice instead. Thanks anyway!
rbd12345 Posted September 12, 2013 Author Posted September 12, 2013 LibreOffice returns an error when I try installing it via GPO.
rbd12345 Posted September 13, 2013 Author Posted September 13, 2013 The error I get is: Add operation failed. Unable to extract deployment information from the package. Run validation on the package to ensure that the package is correct.
Arthur Posted September 13, 2013 Posted September 13, 2013 Is the MSI corrupt? Have you tried installing it before deploying it?
rbd12345 Posted September 14, 2013 Author Posted September 14, 2013 Yes but I've installed it on every individual computer now thanks anyway. I only have 30 computers on the server so it didn't take long.
