[iPad] Google Docs and Shared Devices

So we have brought 2 class sets of iPads, and we are a google apps school. Trying to think of ways to be able to use these devices in a shared environment. Things like Gmail, Google Drive etc.

First of all, good luck! iPads were never designed to be shared

 

I would setup a generic google account, and sign into every iPad using it. Or, just tell the kids to sign out each time they put the iPad back.

 

Its a tricky one.

Gmail is a pain on them (Have to set up an exchange account , turn calendars off - then set up a separate caldav account... or else shared calendars don't work) , and contacts aren't available in the drive app - this is just off the top of my head. I wish google and apple would stop punching each other in the face. Anyone know if there's any improvements in ios7 ?

Nothing mentioned in iOS 7 yet
