No backups - robocopy not working - loosing the will to live

Hi all.

So having a rough couple of weeks.

Here's the problem.

We have 2 file servers

S01 - 2003 - some user areas / staff areas / shared areas

S02 - 2012 - some user areas and some other storage Areas

We have 2 backup servers

B01 - 2003 - backs up s01 to a single disk using robocopy

B02 - 2012 - backs up all other servers using DPM2012

Right.

The disk in B01 is full to the brim. So much that I think the machine is having a fit and un mounting it from the server. This looks like it happened some time in June/july So technically we have no user / shared area backups after then.

I am unable to get the DPM agent installed on s01. It just keeps failing

S01 is running out of space.

So, I figure ill move shared storage and user areas from s01 onto s02 where there is plenty of space and so that it can be backed up by DPM

I've setup a share in s02 and from s01 ran the following

Robocopy d:\userdata\year7 \\s02\year7 /copyall /r:1 /w:1 /log:c:\log.txt

When it runs it completes in a second, no errors just saying it skipped one file. I've tried mapping the drive to s01 and using the path rather than the server path but still the same....

I've tried robocopy GUI and richcopy still the same

I want all the permissions to copy over so that I don't have to set them manually

Anyone any ideas?

By the way been in this job 8 days :)

Thanks, tried it. Still no good

Im thinking about setting up server 2003 windows backup and pointing that to the NAS for the time being just so that I have some kind of backups running
