Do You Think I Can Get This Damn Thing To PXE!? HEEEELP!!

Hi everyone,

 

Just had a ASUS X55C delivered to myself, pre-loaded with Win8 (Eurgh). Obviously going to put Win7 on it, we have an image that we can pull down through F12 PXE booting blah blah blah... You know the drill.

 

The problem is I just cannot get the damn thing to even attempt to PXE. It's one of these with Windows Boot Manager instead of an actual boot order so to speak. So, I've seen this once before and all I had to do last time was enable 'Launch CSM' and then enable 'Launch PXE OpROM' which then should boot straight to the network. Buuuut noooo not this laptop, it seems to just ignore the settings I've changed, and i'm 100% sure I've saved the changes before leaving the BIOS...

 

Any ideas? I'm a tad stuck now...

Can you set it to legacy boot instead of UEFI?

Nope, no obvious/straight forward way anyway, just had a quick flick the BIOS as it's sat in front of me. It's a bit silly. Is there a way to do it from in Win8? Advanced start-up or something like that? Or did I imagine that?
