RogerCorrigan Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Does SupportNet appear... unsecure to anyone? It's only asp.net from what I've gathered. I think it's a good idea, the KB articles are really helpful but it's a bit kwirky and I wouldn't want anyone else grabbing my ID and pass if you know what I mean . But, maybe I'm wrong...
matt40k Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Unsecure? ASP.net isn't any more insecure then PHP or any other language. If you use the same user\pass on other sites, don't, that's stupid.
Popular Post synaesthesia Posted September 2, 2013 Popular Post Posted September 2, 2013 Can;t say I've ever been worried about it being unsecure. Unweildly and generally horrible to use, absolutely. Outdated, absolutely (although it's ease of use that should be important over cosmetics) 5
DMcCoy Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 That would be non ssl login with non case sensitive user/pass supportnet?
Arthur Posted September 2, 2013 Posted September 2, 2013 Unwieldy and generally horrible to use ^ This! Although you are being far too kind with your description. SupportNet looks like it was designed back when Internet Explorer 5 & 6 were state-of-the-art web browsers. There are so many things wrong with the website, Capita might as well start from scratch. 1

They have and it is being beta tested. It should be rolling out soon.
synaesthesia Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 That'd be good to see. The information there is invaluable, but it's not much good when getting to it is best achieved with the Krypton Factor soundtrack (Or Crystal Maze, your choice!) playing in the background.

But your ID and pass shouldn't be used elsewhere anyway if it is linked to something important, especially if you don't trust the site security.
Rawns Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I actually have access to the new SupportNet Alpha site. While it's very limited on content (being alpha and a test system), it looks like it could be a big improvement on the current version!
zag Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 Hasn't changed in the 8 years I've been using it!! Lets hope the new version is a little more Web 2.0
jinnantonnixx Posted September 3, 2013 Posted September 3, 2013 I find the search hilarious. Global search / site search / KB search / Solution seach - when all along, it was in a News article! 1

A new customer portal is coming... | capita-sims.co.uk ^ Is this the new one you've seen?
