Morning All

Have found a start menu replacement that looks almost identical to Windows 7, but the annoying thing is the donate link coming up for every user when they log on.

Does anyone know how to suppress that so that we can use it without driving the teachers mad?

Thanks

There is Start8 from Stardock which you have to pay for (and is very good for a paltry £3). Not used Start W8, but I've found that most 'free' alternative W8 start menus are nag/ad supported.

I will be the first to ask, why you're doing this in the first place? If that functionality is a problem (or the lack of start menu is) why are you using windows 8 in a production environment?

So you can enjoy the benefits of Windows 8 with the start menu that users know and love?

I use Start8 here in the office. I did use Pokki originally, but got fed up with the suggested apps it kept showing. Besides, it's easier to search from the traditional start menu. I like Windows 8, but the way it made certain features harder to access (Search again!) made me want to get back to a better way of doing things for a desktop machine.
