Creating Local Profile and Roaming

Hey Guys

 

So I recently found out that my users profile isn't just being stored on my server as a roaming profile but the local machines also store each users profile under C:\Users is this normal? As I'd rather the Users entire profile sit on the server?

Yes it is normal, it copies the profile to that folder when you log on and returns a copy back to the server when you log off.

 

There is a GPO to delete them at logoff somewhere that has to be enabled to get it to clean up....

Do you happen to know where that GPO is? Would be a big help I can't find it anywhere?

Using Group Policy to delete cached copies of roaming profiles

Depending on the size of your organization you would be better setting users to have a mandatory profile, stopping the constant download of profiles form the server. You can build these profiles and then set them using GPO.
