Pupil Personal Accident Insurance

Whilst at school for as long as I can remember my children have had Personal Accident Insurance provided by BEST. A few years ago BEST was absorbed into the mighty CAPITA and this year they tell me that they are no longer offering the cover. They have suggested that I Google an alternative. Unfortunately all Google seems to bring up is insurance offered through Private Schools for their in house students. I'm seriously annoyed with CAPITA for taking over and changing this company which as far as I can see was uniquely offering people at State schools a very good product.

 

Does anyone know of another company offering an alternative please?

I've never heard of a parent taking out this insurance for state schools, in the private schools yes but not the state that could be why you are finding it hard to find. Maybe it is because I am not a parent? What benefit do you get from the policy?

I can't remember who we recommend (private school) but can find out when I am in on Monday. PM me if I haven't posted by lunchtime!

Thanks John, I think this URL outlines the reasons why such cover is worth considering. Problem with it is it seems to be geared toward School Admin involvement.

I just had an email from the Bursar, so I asked her. It's Marsh that is suggested by our school.
