deploying file servers via VMM server 2012

Hi All,

 

I have just built a SCVMM server based on two hyper-v nodes in a failover cluster environment.

 

So far it is looking great:

 

- 2 hyper-v hosts - 8 NICS on each host 3 iscsi dedicated, hyper v network team, management nic team

- shared ISCSI storage

 

We will be migrating the existing VMs from vsphere that already use the iscsi shared storage.

 

We want to create some file servers VMs in VMM but just deciding the best setup for the following:

 

1100 users no more than 500 concurrent. How many fileservers would be appropriate to access one or more file stores? We have 1 TB of shared storage currently available and We will have another 1TB off shared storage once we start migrating the existing fileservers and vm's.
