Eben Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 We have recently upgraded from a 192.168.0.0/16 flat network to a managed network with HP Procurve kit and implemented VLANs with ip ranged in /24 sub nets and routed. All intervlan routing i working and we are able to ping and \\computer name\share from the run box but unable to view all computers from Network Places. I can see all computers on 192.1681.0/24 but not 192.168.2.0/24 and vice verse. Any help would be appreciated. - We are running windows 2008 R2 Dcs at 2003 functional level.
FN-GM Posted July 30, 2013 Posted July 30, 2013 Thats by design. Machines are discovered in My Network Places using broadcast. The idea of Vlans is to block broadcast. My Network Places is more designed for home users. Is there any particular reason you need it?
