Trip to the UK in September

Hi all. I'm leaving NZ for 5 weeks in September and coming to the North of England. I work as the Director of eLearning at a high school here, and am keen to come and visit some schools that are using ICT and eLearning extensively. Am really interested in seeing things like school-wide wifi, BYOD, iPads or other devices in the classroom, and the PD and pedagogical stuff behind it all. I'm keen to meet IT Managers, Tech's and eLearning managers and facilitators.

 

I'll be based in Carlisle, but am willing to travel around the North. If anyone is able to spare me a few hours for a chat, that'd be most appreciated.

 

I'm also thinking of going to this conference and wondering if anyone has any opinions on it?

 

I'm from Carlisle, and have a combination of Kiwi/Cumbrian accent so hopefully you'll be able to understand what I'm saying..... :-)
