ie10 - automatic proxy configuration url to .pac file

i have installed ie10 through windows updates on win 7 enterprise network, however manage group policy through a windows 7 vm machine with remote server administration tools as we have not upgraded the server to server 2008 as yet due to still have xp machines as well as other reasons, however internet explorer is now not picking up the proxy configuration group policy settings through internet explorer maintenance. how is best to resolve this issue. i have read that installing a vm of windows 8 and using the server management tools resolves this? any help be greatly appreciated other wise will have to roll back to ie9. thanks for your assistance

IEM does not exist for IE10, you have to use GPP and RSAT etc.
