IP Address assignment for Samsung LFD 460dxn

I thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone has any ideas for how to set ip address on a samsung 460dxn LFD, it runs embedded windows xp and i've gone through the normal suspects (the network connection settings in windows) and am able to set an ip address and its all up and running, as soon as the display is rebooted it goes back to its old ip address.

 

I've checked the bios, magic info client program and onscreen menu configuration and not able to find anything related to setting ip address.

 

Any help is appreciated.

We have a few of these and static addresses do not work

 

Dhcp reservation is the way to go

 

Samsung are no help so don't bother ringing them.

 

We use vnc that came installed with each screen to change settings on the embedded Xp

Need to fixed the ip like how you have done already then should have a short on you desktop of the screen, which writes the changes to the drive. Thinks its blue? Hope this helps

Thanks for the replies, I got an email from a lovely man at brawn consulting who specialise in samsung displays.

 

The ip configuration changes were being stopped by samsung EWF, EWF needs to be disabled in order for any changes to configuration to be saved.

 

Now set as a reservation on DHCP so any futher changes should be easy

The EWF tool is part of windows embedded it stops people tampering with the OS. it only needs to be disabled while you make the changes, you then commit your changes and re-enable EWF.
