LosOjos Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Has anyone else been in this situation and if so, how did it go? I went in to Game on the way home from work, traded in a couple of games and asked for £20 worth of Steam vouchers. Upon entering the code, I find it's invalid. Probably because it's a £20 PSN voucher! Now they say they don't give refunds on vouchers but the way I see it, this is their f'k up. I haven't used the codes so presumably there's some way they can verify that and resell or void them. I'm expecting them to turn round and say "no refunds," at which point I think the years of anger management as a teenager may all go down the drain. Am I covered by any consumer rights here?
twin--turbo Posted July 17, 2013 Posted July 17, 2013 Just go in, say that you tried the code on steam and it says it's invalid. They may have a no refund policy , but they can't refuse to exchange it for a working item. Rob
Rneale Posted July 28, 2013 Posted July 28, 2013 I had that before- after a debate for a few minutes they gave me the correct vouchers, and I passed on the ones I didn't want to a friend... did you get yours sorted?
JJonas Posted July 29, 2013 Posted July 29, 2013 They sold you vouchers for Steam, they dont work on Steam therefore they are not fit for purpose you are entitled to a replacement or a refund
LosOjos Posted August 5, 2013 Author Posted August 5, 2013 Thankfully they sorted it no argument, however they didn't check that I hadn't used the PSN code. Had I been less honest I could have made myself £20 there!
