ICT_GUY Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 There seems to be a lack of well rated server 2012 books on Amazon. Has anyone bought one that they can recommend. I'm Up to speed on server 2008 but the new layout of 2012 is throwing me, I need a book! Also I need a guide on deploying images with 2012, I have always used Ghost but that no longer looks to be the way. All Help appreciated.
RichB Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I have also had the same issue CBT Nuggets do some great video's you can sub to them for a month for $99 and watch all there videos I believe. https://secure.cbtnuggets.com/it-training-videos/series/microsoft-windows-server-2012-administering 1
Norphy Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 The "Unleashed" books are generally very good: Windows Server 2012 Unleashed: Amazon.co.uk: Rand Morimoto, Michael Noel, Guy Yardeni, Omar Droubi, Andrew Abbate, Chris Amaris: Books One piece of advice though, with Windows 2012 pretty much everything is done or is at least started through Server Manager. Once you wrap your head around that, you'll probably find it easier to proceed. 1
ICT_GUY Posted July 16, 2013 Author Posted July 16, 2013 Thanks for that, yes it it's a real culture shock. Takes a bit of getting used to, as does having a responsive server. If I can just not let any users log on it might stay that way!
clodhopper Posted July 16, 2013 Posted July 16, 2013 I've got the "Unleashed" 2012 books for Server & System Centre and so far they seem really good. 1
