Windows 7 activation error

Hi,

 

I'm having trouble activating windows 7 from a command line script:

 

slmgr -ipk productkey

slmgr -ato

 

I get this error:

 

On a computer running Microsoft Windows non-core edition, run 'slui.exe 0x2a 0xC

004F015' to display the error text.

Error: 0xC004F015

 

I have searched online but everything refers to a KMS server. I'm just using a MAK key.

Is this just on one PC or more than 10 or what exactly ?

 

Only thing I came across recently was with one Lenovo we had where by the system board was swapped and the system board they placed into the same laptop had a system board where by the BIOS had either

 

1. no SLIC_ACPI Table

2. Said SLIC_ACPI Table was mis-configured / corrupted

3. It had an invalid marker in said SLIC_ACPI Table

 

You receive an error message when you try to activate Windows Vista or Windows 7 on a computer that was obtained from an OEM

 

However you are saying you are using the MAK key so not sure how much that helps and the error code(s) you are mentioning I think are different ( so may not be much help )

More than 10. We had a load of new laptops, some have activated but quite a few have not. It's very strange as they are all the same.

Is it through a proxy using basic authentication? That can create the error. Slmgr has no way of authenticating against the proxy. Use vamt to proxy activate the laptops.

how were these laptops imaged? Did you use sysprep?

It is through a proxy but I normally don't experience problems.

 

Never heard of VAMT before but I've just set it up and works a treat! Thankyou.
