Desktop Redirection at home

Morning Folks,

 

Hoping this is a quick one. We basically redirect staff desktops to a shared from the server. When the users are at home the icons just go grey and have a cross next to them. Is there anyway we can cache the desktop redirect on the laptop to prevent this from happening.

I used to have that on the last network, but this network has been setup on a share. Would you use GPO to manage the updates?
