Exchange 2010, cannot remove server rules.

I have a user who has been trying to remove his Mailbox rules using outlook, has tried various methods including the outlook.exe startup flags to delete both server and client rules.

He cant get rid of them.

 

So I tried to remove them at the server level using:

 

Get-InboxRule -Mailbox  | Remove-InboxRule

 

But they all fail with this error:

Mailserver has plenty of RAM not sure what this is all about.

 

2010 SP2 CU4 i think.
