Shadow Warrior in my Steam library but I've not bought it?

This is really odd, just loaded up my PC and noticed a new icon on my desktop called "Shadow Warrior Classic (1997)". No idea where it came from so I looked at the properties of it and turns out to be a steam 'rungame' link. I've looked in my Steam library and lo and behold, Shadow Warrior classic (1997) is in there and, even more oddly, downloaded. I've not bought it, I've not downloaded it, it's not on a Steam "free weekend" and I've looked in my steam account history and there is no trace of it there. Any ideas where its come from, and how on earth it downloaded itself?

I can tell you that it has become a free download on Steam so you won't have paid for it, but i've no idea either why you've got it unless you've inadvertently clicked something on Steam's store page.

They're remaking Shadow Warrior, so as a promotional thing, they started handing out free Steam keys to the original on Facebook. Except some naughty types managed to download the entire list of keys so the developers just decided to make the game free on Steam permanently.
