Video Capture/Recording Software

Hi everyone, I'm looking for some very simple freeware (or relatively cheap) video recording software for Windows 7 classroom computers. We have webcams we would like to use to record some lectures and presentations and would like a simple solution to do so and upload in high definition to an internal service similar to YouTube, no editing needed.

 

We would either be using combined webcams and microphones which record 1080, or a webcam and a separate high quality presenter microphone depending on the classroom, already hooked up to the computer.

 

Again, I would like to this to be relatively simple so I could easily show our PhDs and they can do it themselves.

Thanks for the suggestion. But I'm not looking for editing software. Just merely software to capture. Ideally with simple controls.

 

Does anyone else have any suggestions? I was stuck with google search.

VLC will do this no problem have a look on youtube there are plenty of tutorials

Download Windows Media Encoder 9 Series from Official Microsoft Download Center

I used windows media encoder on windows xp many years ago but they do have a version for win7

We use Wink and/or CamStudio - both free and easy to use.

Fraps or BandiCam? While mainly used for recording gaming footage, both are simple to use and not too pricey.
