Creating a B2D folder on a LinkStation

I bought a Buffalo LinkStation which i've integrated into AD successfully.

 

My problem is that when trying to create a B2D folder in Veritas in the LinkStation "share" folder, i get the message "Unable to create new backup folder. Access denied". A folder can be created manually but not via this route. I'm aware that veritas uses the backup user to create this but permissions can't be altered on this "share" folder to add this user and give full control due to Buffalo restrictions. Any ideas?
