Hello,

A Dell DCNE (not sure of any other name for this? A Google brings up Latitude)

I read to move the PSWD pin from the 2 pins on the left to the 2 pins on the right (out of 3) - but there are only 2 pins altogether! I took out the little battery and now it seems a bit of a mess...

Anyone know what I need to do? The BIOS is still password protected.

Thanks,

Enter the error code that a passworded bios will give you, normally reserved for vendor support and give you the correct response code to get the password removed.

Thank you. I am getting this BIOS though, and it doesn't give an error.

Even if you enter the password wrong a few times?

Is this on a Desktop? If so it will have some jumpers in the MB.

Yes it's on a desktop, sorry should have specified.

Having trouble locating the jumpers - I read if the PSWD pin doesn't have the 3 pins, then might need to short some soldering when booting up, but no idea which - will it be labelled in any way?
