mattx Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 EA are at it again !! God this company is bloody awful.... BBC News - Scrabble app changes anger players on Facebook I downloaded it on my touchpad [ now running android ] and it was terrible. I had to be on-line to play it !! Bit difficult at 33,000 feet and not sitting in business class. Now removed and gone back to Words.
Rawns Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I was about to make a thread on this too! Bet you'll need Origin soon to play it too!
bladedanny Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 It's really miffed me off too. I bought it before it changed as I used to play local network with my Wife as she has an iPad too. Now they've changed it there's no local network it has to go through facebook and there's a new store button so no doubt in app purchases will be arriving soon. I just hope it's not going to be pay 69p for new letters etc.
Ghostgame Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 (edited) I was about to make a thread on this too! Bet you'll need Origin soon to play it too! The option to log into Origin is there (as well as facebook) on the iOS app. Edited June 14, 2013 by Ghostgame
tmcd35 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 I read the story and thought it was about a website version or Facebook. Is this really about the iOS app? I'll have to take care not to update it then! We have Scrabble on the iPad and the tile rack's on our phones, beats playing with a traditional board
mattx Posted June 14, 2013 Author Posted June 14, 2013 They broke my scrabble... They break everything they touch !!
X-13 Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 They break everything they touch !! That explains the new Xbox... they WERE at the reveal.
ICTDirect_Dave Posted June 14, 2013 Posted June 14, 2013 They break everything they touch !! That they do... That explains the new Xbox... they WERE at the reveal. I still think the new Xbox is pretty awesome, DRM aside (and I rarely buy preowned now) it does everything I wanted, plus a little more and its still suitably powerful for a console
