Weird iPad/iTunes/Apple Configurator Issue - Deploying Apps

New set of iPads, set them up in AC and restore from my master backup.

 

All seems fine apart from a large chunk of missing apps, 32 to be precise.

 

If I go into iTunes and click install for the missing ones they sync fine, if I then take a backup of the iPad and redeploy the same apps are missing again and I have to click install for each app and each iPad.

 

Am I missing something?

Seems its more than an App delivery issue.

 

When I configure the template iPad and back it up (itunes account - auto download apps on- etc) when I restore these to the new iPads these settings don't get applied.

If I restore from an iTunes backup everything works as expected, settings and apps on every restore. Its just the Configurator backups that seem to do nothing.

 

Any ideas?

Hi Chris

From my experience with Apple Configurator apps don't go across in a back up nor do any profiles, bit of a pain but you still have tick all the boxes for the apps and profiles you want installing.
