LeightonJames Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 BBC News - JD Wetherspoon to open first motorway pub on M40 Says it all really about this country. Why on earth would anyone think that opening a pub on a Motorway Service station is a good idea???
sted Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 BBC News - JD Wetherspoon to open first motorway pub on M40 Says it all really about this country. Why on earth would anyone think that opening a pub on a Motorway Service station is a good idea??? because wetherspoons is more of a food place that serves alcohol than a pub and motorway service food is pap maybe

Fleetwood Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 (edited) "TED LOOK! THERE'S A BIG BUNCH OF BOXES IN THE MIDDLE OF THE LANE!" "No Dougal, you're just seeing things - you must be smashed from that motorway pub crawl." OT, I heard about this on the radio this morning. "We'll obviously ensure people are sober/above legal limit before they drive off the premises." - lol gd luk m8 xDD the only reason I'd find this useful is if I wanted Scampi, Chips & Peas for a mid-drive meal. Jamman960 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 In my previous job I'd end up staying in hotels regularly, I used to hate the motorway service stations ones as the food was often awful and there was no alcohol to be had anywhere(not that I drink a huge amount anyway), from that point of view its great. Other than that I guess we can only hope people use it sensibly, they're going to be powerless to stop people abusing it, they're unlikely to have the time to ensure everyone planning to drive is sober
