Smee Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Just bragging that my youngest son who has struggled through all stages of his education has just called me he got a 2.2 in his zoology degree He's the first one in our family to get a degree so am a very proud Mumsie (sorry for the self indulgent moment )
witch Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Well done to him I hope to be posting a similarly "proud parent " moment in a couple of weeks 1
kath Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 A totally deserved very proud Mumsie! Many congratulations to him! 1
Domino Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 not cryptozoology? WON'T SOMEONE THINK OF BIGFOOT?!? PS: Congrats 1
Garacesh Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I have no idea what a 2.2 is, but if you say it's good, congratulations to him and well-done's all around 1
featured_spectre Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I goes like this 1 = A average 2.1 = B+/B average 2.2 = B/B- average 3 = C Average If you don't hit the C average, you fail and have to repeat modules. 2
elsiegee40 Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Congratulations @Smee ... and well done to your son too 1
ButterflyMoon Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 Many congrats such a nice post to see this morning you must be very proud 1
Smee Posted June 4, 2013 Author Posted June 4, 2013 He said something about being 3% below a 2.1 and a possibility of going to the board? I don't care, he's got a degree, he's worked hard for it and I'm super proud
Garacesh Posted June 4, 2013 Posted June 4, 2013 I goes like this 1 = A average 2.1 = B+/B average 2.2 = B/B- average 3 = C Average If you don't hit the C average, you fail and have to repeat modules. Y U NO JUST USE LETTERS?!? But seriously, awesome. Well done to him
witch Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 And here is my similarly proud moment...My clever boy got his degree from Exeter - History and Politics. Couldn't be prouder. Mind you, reality hits now. He has got to work out what he wants to do as a "proper job" whilst looking for something to keep the wolf from the door. So, the family tariff is one BEng, and one BA so far. My daughter will hopefully get a BSc in a couple of years - will be so nice to get the set!! He worked hard and that is what I am proudest of - he admits he hardly did anything for his A levels and this is the first time he has had to buckle down. :cheer2:
lindylou Posted June 17, 2013 Posted June 17, 2013 Great news, Witch - happy Proud Mum Day Was good to see you at the conference, sorry there wasn't more time to natter. 1
