We have the same issue every year and want to combat it before next year after the hassle of this year!

Drama record countless hours of "acting" on flip or such like camera's we then show them how to use the converting software. They play "dumb" and we end up converting and burning the DVD's.

Does anyone of or have a handheld recorder that links to a PC/Mac that records to .Vob so it can be burnt to DVD without the hassle? Everything nowadays seems to write to mp4, and for some reason the exam board only accepts it in this format (like they dont use a laptop to play it on anyway).
