My Documents Folder Redirection Problem In Windows 2003

Hi

I am trying to setup folder redirection for "My Documents", i have set it up so it goes to the users home folder under the basic settings. But when i tested it out on the concerned users it doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong here?

Thanks

WHat is the path you are putting in?

It should be something with a variable, for example;

\\server\%username%

well i have the current option selected "redirect to the users home folder" i have also tried putting in the location manually by putting in

\\nas\user documents\%username%

Do the folders already exist? If they do, make sure that the necessary permissions are in place.

You could also try logging in as a user that the homedrive hasn't been created for yet... it should be automagically created... make sure that the pesky tick box isn't selected that denies access to everyone but the users.

Yes al that is already in place, permissions are all set correctly. The user has had their home drive set for years. Only recently we are using My Documents redirecting.

I don’t think its the gap because it works with administrators but then that makes me think it could be a permission problem after all, but what Permission?
