It seems to be hanging when taking some registers especially in the morning around now?

Yes, we're getting reports on this. We also get sporadic slow report running, this on a well specced server.

I have some reports that no longer work, as it seems the server load is too high.

 

I've got around it for the time being, but next half-term I'm going to have to find a solution.

This is probably linked to the high CPU usage issues. Have you run all available patches.

I've noticed some issues, but not as bad as some people. If i deliberately tax the server it has failed to save records that are being edited, but then if you just wait until the load stops it allows saving, so i reckon this is what must be happening to you.
