APache redirect

Hi

 

When some one access the root of my server via http i need to redirect them to a sub url

 

so they access :

someserver.somedomain.com

 

i need it to redirect to:

 

someserver.somedomain.com/mywebapp/index.php

 

 

apache2 running on suse 12.3

You need to create a .htaccess file in the root of the server, with the following:

 

Redirect 301 /index.php http://someserver.somedomain.com/mywebapp/index.php

Yeah, this file .htaccess is one powerful file, can almost do everything by him.. But is there a chance to put some lines of code to prevent spammers and hackers?

hi thanks guys,

i had the ht access the httpd.conf file needed htaccess files enabled.
