sqdge Posted August 11, 2007 Posted August 11, 2007 I am running Office 2007 on Vista, and have noticed a strange thing occurring when i try to start any of the office applications. When I go to the start menu and click on an Office Application it just won't load. There's no message or thinking, it just doesn't do anything. Instead, if i want to open up word, I have to search for a .docx file and click on that. Has anybody else had this problem? Does anyone know of a solution?

Not as I'm aware, and it does not allow for admin installs. Microsoft shooting itself in the foot again. Possibly another reason that business take up is slow.
Gatt Posted August 14, 2007 Posted August 14, 2007 Have u tried creating a new shortcut? Could be that the Office "special" shortcut has been messed up. If a normal shortcut works - try a repair install as it should recreate the shortcuts. These "Special" shortcuts (the ones where there is no apparent Target are a bloody nuisence (sp)
