Sometimes I just hate it when the decision's all mine...

Epson EMP83H out of warranty with dying bulb (too dim for classroom use - had the lamp warning light today)

£90 ebay compatible lamp

£174 Epson original lamp

£300 New Epson EB X11

Clevertouch interactive LCD £2.5k (25% of this year's budget and 3 other projectors the same age as the one that's just gone)

...or Blackboard and chalk?

Maybe it's just been a hard week and I need to focus on the bigger picture.

Hi Jmak,

Interactgive Screen is the best option but its all on your budjet, I can see the the Interactive sceens are to be the future and will replace the interactive boards over time.

We are putting alot of interactive screens into schools latley .

Saying that I tottally understand it is all about Budjet... So I recplacment bulb would keep you going for a while. Have you tried cleaning the filter as sometime that can dim the image.

Hope that is of Help

Personally I would replace the projector with a new X11.

Your 83H will probably require a deep clean to improve the brightness anyway adding extra cost and the unit could fail at any time in the future,

At least by replacing the projector and spending that little bit extra you will benefit from a brighter projector 2600 lumens, warranty and peace of mind.
