Net-Ctrl Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Hello everyone, I was speaking with @TheScarfedOne the other day about an event we ran a year or so back which provided training on Juniper Networks OS Junos, and whether such an event could be ran again. I have asked the question and it seems I would be able to organise a similar event if it was of interest to a few people. So I thought I would reach out to the EduGeek community to see if there were any others out there that could get something out of the day. It’s not salesy, and is essentially an introductory course into the Junos OS. I have placed an outline of what was includes last time below; this could be changed to ensure it covered what you all would like to learn about. It would be based in London with a Juniper technician. Many thanks, Josh Objectives • Describe the basic design architecture of the Junos OS. • Identify and provide a brief overview of Junos devices. • Navigate within the Junos CLI. • Perform tasks within the CLI operational and configuration modes. • Configure and monitor network interfaces. • Navigate within the Junos J-Web interface. Course Contents Chapter 1: Introduction • Agenda • Juniper Networks Technical Certification Path for JUNOS Based Platforms. Chapter 2: Junos Operating System Fundamentals • The Junos OS • Traffic Processing • Platforms Running the Junos OS • Junos Software Package Naming Convention Chapter 3: User Interface Options • User Interface Options • The Junos CLI: CLI Basics • The Junos CLI: Operational Mode • The Junos CLI: Configuration Mode • Archiving Configurations • Junos Interface naming • The J-Web GUI
TheScarfedOne Posted May 1, 2013 Posted May 1, 2013 Ta Josh. I'm guessing just post here that you are interested and he's watching the thread
Net-Ctrl Posted May 1, 2013 Author Posted May 1, 2013 There would be no cost to attend the day, Im sure I would be able get lunch etc covered as well. The only cost to you really would be getting to the location. If it is something of interest just indicate on this thread or send me a pm, either would be great Any questions please feel free to ask What cost would we be looking at?

Net-Ctrl Posted May 3, 2013 Author Posted May 3, 2013 thanks for your reply @apeman i will keep you updated with how it progresses. If you know any others that would find this of interest please let them know about it. The more people that show an interest the easier it will be for me to get put through

Net-Ctrl Posted June 26, 2013 Author Posted June 26, 2013 hello all sorry for the lack of contact. This event had been finalised twice, the first time the venue fell through just before it all being announced, and the second time the Juniper engineer had to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances. Due to time before the summer break fast approaching, we have regrettably had to delay the event until September. I really am sorry we couldnt get this running before the summer break. More details will follow soon
