Robocopy - Will it delete files in destination by default?

I'm currently running a basic robocopy backup to an external drive.

 

robocopy C:\STUFF\ E:\STUFF1 /e

 

 

robocopy C:\STUFF2\ E:\STUFF2 /e

 

 

robocopy C:\STUFF3 E:\STUFF3 /e

 

Now, if something is deleted in the source (C:\) will robocopy delete in the desination by default?? (E:\)

It's been a while since I've used it, but I don't think it will delete files that no longer exist in the source unless you use the /PURGE switch.

 

Edit: looking at robocopy /? I think that's right:

/PURGE :: delete dest files/dirs that no longer exist in source.

 

But maybe test it on a non-important file first, just in case

No, not by default. To delete files in the target, use Purge as Valyn suggests, or the /MIR switch.
