Excel 2010 User Cannot Change printer from Default

Good Morning all,

 

I am having a seriously annoying printer problem with Excel 2010. When a user wishes to print a document they cannot change from the default printer in the drop down box in file print, they can see the printer in the dropdown menu and they can click on the printer but it jumps back to the default printer? Both printers are network printers. I did have a temporary fix which was to reset her profile and then rebooted the machine and she could then change her printer withing Excel, but the problem appeared again this morning. This is getting fustrating as I have seen this for a few weeks now I have even seen the same problem within Word, am I missing something silly here?

I'm experiencing exactly tha same problem, trying to remove excel add-ins did not make a different, did you solved the issue? is driving me mad!!!

Try creating a GPP regedit as an admin, then applying it to the user as follows.

What I did was to prevent the add ons from starting when Excel is openeing, I didn't disable them as such. Seems to be more of an issue when you have local printers as well a computers.
