The question is... are you hooked on Bungie Halo, or 343 Halo though?

Bungie led the way and now 343 are taking the game to places I always hoped it would go.

 

And they're taking all the literature as cannon and using the novels to dictate the game storyline which is nice.

 

I was chuffed to bits with four, up there as possibly the best yet.

I was genuinely upset when I found out that Valve had Pulled the originally planned cross platform play from CS:GO at the last minute. I really hope one day a we get a cross-platform FPS.

 

Something we can actually agree on. I was buzzing when i heard this. However, looking back at it, we'd cream all over them if we were on the PC.

 

That would be like playing against bots on easy!

 

Only way that would be a remotely level playing field is if the consoles have the "targeting assist" aimbot that they all need to be playable, and that would just result in people having "quick scoping skills"

 

Imo

consoles > PC for sports/beatemup/driving (without a wheel)

PC > consoles for everything else

 

And that's mainly due to the controller vs keyboard/mouse and you can always buy a controller for the PC.

The last 2 360's I've bought, were the Halo: Reach and the Halo 4 limited edition boxes.

 

Unless I see a huge difference in specs between the new Xbox and PS4, I'm currently thinking about buying a PS4..

 

Thinking about it, I've "skipped" during generations.. from Sony (PS2), to MS (Xbox360)..

 

I think the biggest factor, will always be what my friends are going to be buying!

 

PS: I'm playing Pokémon on my 3DS XL rather than 360 atm

 

Xbox will always rein over PS for online gaming. You're decision is made for you!

I can't believe this is still going on! Well I can really it's been going on for more than 25 years in one form or another.

 

I'll keepy buying Xbox whilst Halo is on it as I'm hooked!

 

I also love pro evo and the batman games (with the controller I'm awesome at batman)

 

Everything else I prefer on PC though. I couldn't imagine Total War Games on Consoles these days.

One will allways be my ultimate favourite, I'll never get that sense of awe playing a halo game for the first time. Not like I did whilst escaping from the Pillar of Autumn.

 

However Four very nearly had the same effect. It's simply incredible. I had no idea the xbox could look that good & play that well at the same time

I agree with Dave.. 4 looked amazing, but I hated the ending! >.< (not seeing MC come out of his armour, but the last "battle/quicktime sequence")

The last battle was a let down! I expected something a little more epic, but I'm just hoping they're saving it up for the fifth game and what i hope will be the Primordial as main bad guy.

Dunno, I quite liked the way the last battle went. It gave me a bit of time to to relax after doing the game on solo legendary and nearly throwing my controller through the telly when those damn incendiary cannon knights kept getting in the odd lucky shot and one shot killing me.

 

Definitely my favourite Halo game to date.
