Now i know its out i will upgrade. Hopefully will fix an issue i have been having.

Whats new in the update? Is vCenter supported on Server 2012 yet?

Updated my vcenter, hosts and tools on all my vms to this yesterday and i've encountered a very strange issue...

It doesn't actually cause any ill effects but I'm getting a licensing capacity alarm and in the licensing reports one out of my 4 licenses shows a vRAM entitlement of 0GB o_O

Upgraded today fixed 2 problems we had. 1 Where machines wont vMotion between hosts and a second where tasks get stuck.

Did get the above issue.

Pushed VMware tools to my VM's via SCCM so good to go.

Random question. When you update Vmware is it a farily easy job to do and do you risk doing it during the day or definitely after hours?

Depends entirely on your setup.

Personally all my VMs are on two SANs, I've got vmotion in use so between my 4 hosts i can happily move the VMs from one location to another during the middle of the day without issue. *touch wood it's never been an issue yet :p*

If you updating an existing 5.1 install and you can move the VM's around then during the day is fine. Updating vCenter SSO and update manager takes the longest.
