School related training (CPD)

What school related training do you get or have received in the past, I am not talking about ICT, how to do your job, I'm referring to FirstAid, Epipen, Asthma, Behaviour Management etc.

 

The whole school has Epipen and Asthma training as part of a training day talk, however we haven't had any training relating to dealing with kids. For some people (Like me) you go from an industry or retail position to working in a school where you have no experience working with kids to then running lunch time ICT clubs.

 

So interested to hear what you get.

I have had epipen, first aid, safeguarding, eSafety, behaviour...

 

In terms of dealing with the kids, the safeguarding is probanly most useful as it tells you what you can and cannot do. The behaviour training is in re, ation to our school's behaviour policy, so that all adults in school, not just the teachers, know and are able to apply the discipline policy consistently.

Forgot to add, we all have to have "child protection" but thats about what you can and cant do and have to report.
