[sims] Silent Client install

Hi guys,

 

historically the sims client has been on the workstation images at our school, installed via the SimsInst.exe and then automatically upgraded when logged in.

 

We just upgraded to Windows 7 with clean images and I have automated pretty much everything apart from sims. My knowledge of sims is quite limited so forgive me if the answer to this is easy but i was wondering if there is a way to deploy the client silently.

 

Can I snapshot an MSI?

 

Are there silent install switches?

Search the forums for Solus 3 and they should give you the information you need.

ok thanks i was a little bit confused why it was called solus 3.

You can silent install the simsinst or the individual files it runs, but SOLUS³ is the way forward supposedly.

Does anyone know / remember how SOLUS 1 did things?
