zag Posted April 22, 2013 Posted April 22, 2013 I've recently changed our proxy server to a new address. I've changed the IE proxy settings in group policy but a number of students still have the old settings for some reason. Rebooting doesnt fix the problem. Is it just a case of waiting or is there a way to force the new Group policies site wide?

If you have WOL enabled you can startup the machines, then force a gpupdate and then switch them off again. This is how I normally do forced updates. 2

Yup, I used this for a good while too, worked really well :-)

zag Posted April 22, 2013 Author Posted April 22, 2013 (edited) Had a fair few problems with this today, mainly because I was testing with IE 10 and Microsoft in their great wisdom have removed the connection settings from Internet explorer and Group policy when you install it! Interesting gotcha if someone else runs into it. Same applies to anyone running Windows Server 2012 Edited April 22, 2013 by zag
