My car has been making a tinkling rattle when going round right hand bends. It's about due for a service but today, as it was warm and sunny, I thought I'd take a look. I took the wheel off and had a good scout around but I couldn't see anything and concluded it was going to be something expensive. I replaced the wheel and popped down to Aldi to get my herring in mustard and sauce and baking spuds for next week's lunch. Lo and behold, no noise. I didn't notice any foreign objects fall out and wonder if it might have been something in the shock absorber that came away when I jacked up the car and it extended. Anyway, I'm glad it's fixed because I have to pick my son up from the airport on Tuesday and I didn't fancy losing a wheel on the M5.

once I did some work on my car, and was driving back heard a little rattle. suddenly thought the tracking is a bit off here? turns out i forgot to torque up the wheel bolts on the left front wheel! (*hides in shame*)

I recently had an irritating rattle in my front drivers side wheel arch and it turned out the wheel arch liner was loose. It might be worth checking that too as it's fairly easy to check. If the rattle gets worse at high speeds it might be this.

I used to have a very irritating noise coming from the passenger side. Divorced her in the end!

My car had a rattling coming from the exhaust, I went down the motorway and put footdown huge cloud of smoke and a pop, came off motor way at next junction, no rattling, car was due a service a few days later and i asked them to check it and they said it was all fine
