aye, it's easy to spec a PoE 100mb switch there but generally speaking you wouldn't need gigabit to most PoE devices. That's changing though already. If you do want gigabit and PoE I really, really would suggest something of much better reputation than netgear, but that's mostly because I still don't trust (or understand enough, perhaps!) how that works. Plump for HP or Cisco if you need it.

You need every port GB, or else how can you throw a 450mb/600mb access point at full pelt down your network. You will notice major speed issues when connected to 100MB switch port.

 

The only reason why we are doing, what we are doing is because our focus on teaching and learning will be based around 1:1 learning with a mobile device through our VLE firefly.

 

95 APs covers both sites, total 10 buildings, sports fields etc....
