Where will these files have disappeared to?

Hello everyone.

 

One of our users decided to transfer several files from his laptop, to his homedrive. Unfortunately, during the transfer, the user hit his homedrive quota limit, and so not all files were successful in their transfer.

 

When I returned to the laptop that the files were transferred from, I was less than impressed to find that the files that were unsuccessful, no longer resided on the laptop.

 

Could anyone suggest which aether these outstanding files have disappeared into?! Really hoping they are still being stored in a server 'halfway-house' location.

I don't think they're anywhere...

 

Any time I've hit a file space limit, the files stay where they were.

 

It sounds like they tried to copy them over and just deleted the originals without checking they copied properly.
